Class 2 vehicles (two-axle trucks, buses and vans) will generate savings of P7.44 per kilometer on the new NLEX. A bus that travels a distance of 80 kilometers from Balintawak to Sta. Ines, would save P595.20 (P7.44 x 80 km).

Class 3 vehicles (trucks and trailers with three or more axles) will save P5.02 per kilometer on vehicle operating costs. If the truck travels the whole 80-kilometer stretch, savings would total P401.60 because of the improvements in the NLEX.
