Changing people's lives.
The Manila North Tollways Corp. (MNTC), builder and concessionaire of the
North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), continues to touch the lives of the people
residing in host communities of the 84-kilometer tollroad. Recently, the
Lopez-led MNTC, in cooperation with the Gawad Kalinga (GK) Foundation,
turned over a third batch of 41 low-cost houses to an equal number of
marginalized families in Pandi, Bulacan. The MNTC donated P2.5 million
to bankroll the construction of the houses built in Barangay Pinagkuartelan,
Pandi, bringing to P7.5 million the company's total contributions to GK's
housing program. Photo taken during the turnover rites shows one of the
beneficiaries, Mrs. Juliet Sibug and her family, holding the symbolic key
to their new home. She is joined by (from left) Bulacan Rep. Pedro Pancho,
MNTC president and CEO Jose P. de Jesus, Pandi Mayor Roberto Oca, GK Founder
Tony Meloto and Barangay captain Graciano Agustin.
