Segment 10 Consultancy Agreement

The Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC) and SMEC International Pty. Ltd. (Philippine Branch) recently signed a consultancy agreement for the detailed engineering design of a new expressway that MNTC will construct as part of NLEX Phase 2, the road network expansion program of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX). Called Segment 10, this 5.43-kilometer expressway, will connect Mindanao Avenue, NLEX, and McArthur Highway to C3 Road and the North Harbor. When completed, Segment 10 will speed up the transport of goods from Central and Northern Luzon to Metro Manila’s primary domestic port. Signatories to the contract are MNTC president Rodrigo E. Franco (center), MNTC chief finance officer Christopher C. Lizo (2nd from left), and SMEC Regional Director for Southeast Asia/Pacific Manoli Loukas (2nd from right).
