July 15, 2009

The Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC) signs a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Municipality of Apalit, Pampanga, allowing the town to construct an extension of the existing Candaba viaduct footbridge within the NLEX right-of-way. The footbridge serves the residents of Barangays Tabuyuc and San Juan. MNTC is the concessionaire of the 84-kilometer North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) linking Metro Manila to the provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga and other parts of North and Central Luzon. Signatories to the MOA (from left to right) are: Apalit Sangguniang Bayan secretary Glenn Danting, Apalit Vice Mayor Pedro Nucom, MNTC president and CEO Rodrigo E. Franco, and MNTC vice president Raul L. Ignacio.
