Where and how do I open an EC Tag account?
EC Tag accounts may be opened at any of NLEX’s five customer service centers at these interchanges:
- Balintawak
- Valenzuela
- Bocaue
- Tabang
- San Fernando
Bring two valid identification cards, and one copy each of the vehicle’s official receipt and certificate of registration. The EC Tag transponder costs P1,500 excluding an initial load of P500.00. Opening an account takes about half an hour, and activating your load takes 15 minutes. The transponder may be mounted on the vehicle and used within the same hour. All NLEX customer service centers are open from 6:30 am to 8:30 pm, Mondays through Saturdays. On Sundays, the Balintawak and Bocaue service centers are open from 8 am to 12 noon.
