Building homes. Under the scorching heat of the afternoon sun, MNTC employees troop  to the Gawad Kalinga sites to help build the homes of the beneficiaries. Soon, 50 families  in Marilao Bulacan had houses of their own in the Lopez-MNTC-GK Village; and 50 more houses will be built in another GK site in Valenzuela City. This is part of MNTC's effort to develop Central Luzon by starting with the development of the basic unit of society: the family. Such has ”opened doors of infinite possibilities” for the recipients, as stated by MNTC Chairman Oscar M. Lopez in his speech during the inauguration of the first Lopez-MNTC-GK Village in Marilao, Bulacan.
